Forever be remembered

The visit to the cemetery was a solemn and heartfelt occasion, as the Global Aviary Club of Nigeria and some stakeholders paid tribute to two extraordinary men who played pivotal roles in shaping the Aviary Club of Nigeria into the legacy it is today.

Baba Marto, Pastor Oluwafemi Oluwagbenga Martins. Provost West African Seminary Theological Academy was the revered founding father of the Aviary Club of Nigeria, was a man of great vision, dedication, and passion. He laboured tirelessly and selflessly to bring the dream of the club into reality. His efforts laid the strong foundation upon which the club now stands. As the Chairman of the Elders-in-Council, he led with wisdom and integrity, mentoring many and guiding the club through its formative years. Today, every member enjoys the fruits of his hard work and sacrifices.

Tope Dada, who served as the Global Director of Planning and Organizing Committee, was a valuable member of the club. Until his passing, he was known for his unmatched organizational skills, his commitment to excellence, and his unwavering support for the club’s activities on both local and international stages. His contributions remain deeply embedded in the success and structure of the Aviary Club.

These two gentlemen were not just leaders; they were visionaries and role models. Their memories and legacies continue to live on in the hearts of all members and stakeholders.

Our visit to their final resting places was both emotional and reflective. We offered prayers for their souls, expressed our gratitude for their service, and reaffirmed our commitment to uphold the values they stood for. It was a moment of unity, respect, and remembrance.  Though they are gone but their spirits remain with us, guiding and inspiring the club’s journey forward.
